Summary Of Position:

To fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures Ministries and cast vision to others. This position will be part of the Facilities and Maintenance Team that demonstrates world-class excellence through their care of the campuses of the ministry. ย This is done by maintaining all facilities and equipment of our different campuses. ย ย The focus of this position is building and construction. This includes new construction and repairs of current facilities.ย

  • Available to work variable shifts as needed to meet the needs of the organization

General Responsibilities:

  • The primary role of this position is to plan and perform preventive maintenance and repairs over a wide variety of facilities, grounds, and equipment on the campuses of Grace Adventures Ministries.
  • Documentation of service and repairs performed on sites, facilities, and equipment
  • Coordinate and lead projects approved by supervisor
  • Keep supervisor informed about your areas of responsibility
  • Scheduling and implementation of seasonal changeovers
  • Work requests -processed in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate with the Program Department to meet the needs of activities sites and grounds
  • Assist with snow removal for the Mears campuses as directed
  • Keep interior and exterior of buildings in good condition, including preventive maintenance
  • Assist in other areas as directed by supervisor
  • Responsible to complete a personal inventory sheet annually
  • Responsible to recruit, coordinate, and oversee volunteers and work groups as assigned by supervisor
  • Will work a varying schedule that will include some weekends as well as be part of the Maintenance On Call schedule outside of normal working hours.
  • Assist in keeping the maintenance complex clean, safe, and in an organized condition



Requirements

Skills:

  • Aย depth of knowledge of framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, roofing, and HVAC
  • A working knowledge in the following area is a plus: refrigeration, fleet maintenance, equipment operation, grounds maintenance and irrigation.
  • Knowledge of and desire to plan and execute preventive maintenance
  • Ability to plan for and direct volunteers and staff

Qualifications:

  • A testimony and lifestyle that gives evidence of a true experience of salvation by grace in Jesus Christ
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years experience in related field(s)
  • An attitude of excellence in workmanship
  • A supportive attitude to the needs of staff, guests, and goals of the organization
  • A desire to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Be flexible to change as the greater need of the ministry and fulfillment of the mission statement requires
  • Have physical ability to travel and implement various physical work related activities over 378 acres encompassing 3 separate campuses in Mears and an additional 141 acre campus near White Cloud, MI. At times lifting and carrying is part of the job.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and travel as needed
