Are you looking to use your expert manufacturing operations and engineering skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As an Operations Manager I, you will drive strategic goals across multiple areas within operations, including manufacturing, production control, product engineering, and inventory control. You will lead initiatives to improve technologies, resolve operational challenges, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role also involves developing plans, budgets, policies, and procedures for operational activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance planning team, providing training and support as needed.
  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term maintenance schedules for the aircraft fleet.
  • Ensure all maintenance planning activities comply with aviation regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor fleet status and track aircraft maintenance requirements and deadlines.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all maintenance records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of parts and materials.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance maintenance planning processes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning, maintenance control, or related aviation maintenance roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, ICAO) and maintenance planning procedures.
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance programs, technical documentation, and reliability programs.
  • Experience using maintenance planning software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, Project Management Professional (PMP)

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for the majority of the work shift.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for data entry and document handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
