Job description

Mechanical/ TAR Planner

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand industrial pipe drawings and specifications
  • SAP experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Leadership, organizational, time management and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Material and labor estimating
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field with little supervision

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans the mechanical and piping maintenance/TAR work for operating facility
  • Provides effective job plans to accomplish work completion in an efficient and effective manner, including material & tool requirements labor estimates, and work instructions
  • Plans mechanical maintenance work with special attention paid to all control of work and regulatory requirements that may apply.
  • Identifies the need for outside Contractors and associated scope of work
  • Reviews submitted work orders for completeness and accuracy communicating with Operations & Maintenance Coordinators as needed
  • Develops and insures the accuracy of Bill of Materials making edits and additions as needed in SAP
  • Identifies part discrepancies, additional work needed, work task edits, reoccurring problems in area of responsibility through review of completed work orders in order to improve future job packages
  • Assist scheduler with identification of work order simultaneous operations, coordination constraints, and sequencing.
