Job description

We are seeking a trained and skilled OPG (Orthopantomogram) and CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) Technician. The candidate must have strong expertise in image quality, patient positioning, and an understanding of diagnostic requirements as per referring doctors. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities Technical & Imaging Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage OPG and CBCT imaging equipment efficiently
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning to achieve high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain optimal image quality standards as per clinical requirements
  • Understand whether the case requires OPG or CBCT imaging, based on doctor’s prescription and clinical indication
  • Read and interpret doctor’s handwritten prescriptions accurately to avoid diagnostic errors
Coordination & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with referring doctors whenever clarification is required regarding imaging
  • Understand the specific diagnostic requirements of doctors for each case
  • Ensure proper coordination between technician, radiologist, and referring doctor
Patient Care Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient care and comfort during imaging procedures

Radiation Safety & Compliance (ALARA)

  • Hands-on experience in OPG and CBCT imaging is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of OPG & CBCT technology
  • Expertise in image quality assessment and positioning techniques
  • Ability to understand doctor’s requirements and prescriptions
  • Strong focus on patient care and safety
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
