Job Description Job Description Job Overview: D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking highly skilled and experienced Millwrights with strong welding capabilities and steel mill experience to join our Alabama maintenance division. This role will involve maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across a variety of sectors, including steel mills, cold mills, sawmills, and powerhouses. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical systems, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery in coal mining operations, sawmills, and auto plants. Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) for repairs and fabrication of parts, structures, and equipment as needed. Conduct welding inspections to ensure high-quality, safe work.

Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment. Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment in mining, sawmill, and automotive production lines. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that work areas are always safe and clean.

Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations and quick resolution of mechanical issues. Problem Solving: Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions. Required Qualifications: Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Own personal tools to complete jobs at hand. Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in coal mining, sawmill, and/or automotive plant environments. Strong welding experience, particularly in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to work with a variety of materials (steel, stainless steel, etc.).

Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems. Valid driver's license, Millwright Certification, or equivalent trade qualification required. Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.

Must be capable of lifting heavy parts and materials as needed. Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and precision. Must adhere to all safety protocols and always demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in steel mills, sawmills, or automotive manufacturing settings. Familiarity with automation and robotic systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.

Experience in the installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.
