Maintenance Manager
Holiday Inn Express Topeka North Topeka, Kansas Full-Time | Salaried Position
Job Summary
Holiday Inn Express Topeka North is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of our hotel facilities. This salaried leadership position is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets and maintaining brand standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, or a related field and possess strong troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and exterior grounds.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control related to maintenance operations.
  • Support hotel renovations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and be available for on-call situations as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet IHG brand standards and guest satisfaction expectations.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, multifamily housing, or commercial facilities.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:
  • Hotel maintenance or hospitality experience.
