Come be part of the most influential and heritage-packed company in Hoke County! The Burlington Raeford Plant has a proud heritage of producing fabrics for the U.S. Military for more than 70 years with a combination of innovative processes and top-notch, heartfelt leadership. With a proven track record of providing a stable, genuine & authentic place to work for a century, the Burlington Raeford Plant is ready for you to join our team! We are looking to grow our team and fill the position of Maintenance Manager.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee and maintain key building systems within a textile manufacturing facility. This individual will ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, air washes, and the boiler house, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial facility management, mechanical systems, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building Systems Maintenance: Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of key building systems, including HVAC, air washes, and boiler house. Oversee regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for all critical systems. Manage the coordination of repairs and replacements of equipment when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • System Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement improvements for energy efficiency, cost reduction, and system reliability. Recommend upgrades or modifications to systems to enhance operational capacity or compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Environmental Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the facility's operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (e.g., emissions, water usage, waste management). Prepare and submit necessary environmental reports, including air quality, energy consumption, and waste disposal, in accordance with regulatory standards. Monitor and document the effectiveness of air washes, boilers, and other systems in mitigating environmental impacts.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Keep up-to-date with changes in environmental laws and regulations affecting manufacturing processes and infrastructure. Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or compliance reviews. Work with external consultants or contractors to address non-compliance issues as needed.
  • Project Management: Lead or support infrastructure improvement projects, from design through to implementation, ensuring safety, budget compliance, and project timelines. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and mitigate operational disruptions during projects.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all infrastructure systems meet safety standards and are properly maintained to prevent accidents or environmental hazards. Coordinate with the Health and Safety team to develop emergency protocols related to building system failures or environmental hazards.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all system maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Ensure that all regulatory documents, maintenance logs, and compliance reports are well-documented and easily accessible.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, production, and facility management teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure support with overall plant operations. Provide training and guidance to facility personnel on proper operation and troubleshooting of infrastructure systems.

Qualifications
