About the Opportunity


Cafe Spice is seeking a Maintenance Manager Processing & Facilities to lead and oversee both production equipment and facility infrastructure within our fast-paced, USDA and FDA regulated food manufacturing environment.


This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all processing equipment and plant utilities, while driving operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.


What You’ll Do


  • Lead and manage maintenance operations across processing, packaging, and facility systems
  • Oversee equipment including kettles, conveyors, tray sealers, filling lines, chillers, ovens, and automation systems
  • Manage facility infrastructure including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, electrical systems, fire protection, and utilities
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and asset life
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and all safety/regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Production, FSQA, Sanitation, and Operations teams
  • Utilize Fiix CMMS and ERP systems to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, asset tracking, and reporting
  • Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of parts and services
  • Oversee emergency response and ensure operational continuity across the plant
  • Build and develop a high-performing maintenance team focused on safety, accountability, and performance


What You Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong technical expertise in:
  • Food processing & packaging equipment
  • HVAC, boilers, refrigeration systems (ammonia/Freon), compressed air, wastewater systems
  • Electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with CMMS and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and food safety standards
