Facilities Maintenance Technician | Grubbs Family of Dealerships

We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician who takes ownership of our physical space the same way our service team takes ownership of every customer vehicle. What You'll Do
Keep the Facility Running at the Highest Standard
  • Serve as the primary go-to resource for facility repairs and maintenance needs across all interior and exterior areas of the dealership
  • Identify maintenance issues proactively and address them before they become larger problems
  • Respond promptly to repair requests from department managers and leadership
  • Ensure all workspaces, customer facing areas, and common areas are safe, functional, and well maintained at all times

Electrical and Mechanical
  • Perform basic to intermediate electrical work including lighting repairs and replacements, outlet issues, breaker troubleshooting, and fixture installations
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment throughout the facility
  • Coordinate with licensed contractors for work that requires permitting or specialized licensing and serve as the on-site point of contact during those visits

Interior Repairs and Upkeep
  • Handle a wide range of interior repairs including drywall patching, painting, door hardware, flooring, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and general carpentry
  • Maintain restrooms, break rooms, offices, service bays, and customer lounges in clean, working order
  • Hang, mount, and install fixtures, signage, shelving, and equipment as needed
  • Address work orders in a timely and professional manner with attention to detail and craftsmanship

Exterior Repairs and Upkeep
  • Maintain the exterior of the building and property including parking lot areas, entry points, landscaping coordination, lighting, signage, fencing, and drainage
  • Identify and address any exterior hazards, deterioration, or safety concerns promptly
  • Ensure the dealership's curb appeal reflects the Grubbs standard year round across all weather conditions

Safety and Compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures when performing maintenance tasks
  • Ensure repairs and installations meet applicable building codes and safety standards
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
  • Keep accurate records of completed work orders, ongoing issues, and vendor contacts
  • Report significant structural, electrical, or mechanical concerns to management immediately

What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, general contracting, building trades, or a related field
  • Broad working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repair
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and determine the most effective and cost efficient solution
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and managing multiple open work orders at once
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with staff, customers, and vendors
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the role including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in varied conditions
  • Highly organized, reliable, and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and general compliance requirements is a plus
  • Trade certifications or licenses in any relevant discipline are a strong advantage

Schedule and Availability
This is a full time position. Schedule will be discussed during the interview process based on operational needs. Occasional after hours or weekend availability may be required for urgent repairs.
