Maintenance Manager Needed- Urbana, IL

We are currently seeking an experienced Blow Molding Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in a blow molding manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on experience maintaining high-speed plastic processing and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all plant maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot blow molding, auxiliary, and downstream equipment (e.g., Uniloy, Rocheleau, Bekum, or similar).
  • Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support process improvements and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a blow molding, plastics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLC controls (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS systems and data-driven maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team management skills.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience.
