Job Summary
Maintenance & Inspection Coordinator II provides necessary support to the maintenance and inspection process within the planning and design system to help ensure Alliant Energy stays in compliance with gas and electric regulations. This position completes accurate data entry, coordinates appropriate gas compliance communications both internally and externally, and helps to ensure deadlines are met for compliance work. This role performs basic administrative and functional activities, such as keyboarding, assisting with scheduling, maintaining files, and correspondence associated with offices in support of field operations while handling confidential matters with discretion.

What you will do
  • Supports the consistent operations of the office based on company policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Handles routine information requests and messages for managers and office employees.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of gas records such as leak records, sewer forms, caution notices, and odorant reads into the record system database.
  • Tracks and communicates deadlines related to gas compliance requirements.
  • Tracks, maintains, and monitors operations files, contracts, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and assists with required audit and data requests as directed.
  • Uses and maintains basic computer applications to create documents, forms, spreadsheets, charts, graphics, and presentations.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials and prepares charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Proofs documents and transcribes routine meeting notes and handwritten information.
  • May process invoices, vouchers, requisitions, and expense reports for supervisor and office employees.
  • May be required to work outside regular work schedule on occasion.
  • May update gas crisis plans and coordinate notification letters to customers regarding compliance issues and liaison letters to public officials.
  • Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Education Requirements
  • Associate Degree Emphasis in word processing, clerical support, administrative support or related area Preferred

Required Experience
  • 1 year of related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of compliance or regulatory recordkeeping preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of utility operations, safety, and energy industry terminology preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively meet deadlines with quality work completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain and coordinate information from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated basic to intermediate proficiency in the use of office equipment and computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (PDF) software preferred.
  • ability to type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Demonstrated solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
  • Ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Pay Range:

This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
