What You'll Get to Do
The Maintenance Helper supports the night-shift Maintenance Technician and production teams by performing material-handling duties and assisting with basic mechanical tasks as directed. This role is primarily focused on pulling metal, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring smooth nightly operations across the facility.
This role is perfect for an individual who has a safety mindset, is mechanically inclined, and enjoys hands-on work. A great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants exposure to industrial maintenance and the chance to grow within an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Pulling metal and supporting material-handling needs throughout the production floor
  • Assisting the Maintenance Technician with simple mechanical tasks such as holding parts, tools, or a flashlight
  • Performing basic wrench-turning or mechanical assistance under direction
  • Supporting production teams to ensure timely response to equipment needs
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Following direction to assist with minor adjustments or simple tasks when the technician is unavailable
  • Providing flexibility to support both maintenance and production operations
  • Documenting and communicating any irregularities or needs to the maintenance team
  • Learning foundational maintenance concepts through on-the-job exposure

What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical aptitude - enjoys tinkering, fixing things, or hands-on work
  • 1+ years of experience in a production or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to follow direction and support a more experienced technician
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of tools and mechanical processes
  • Material-handling experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working night shift consistently
  • Interest in future maintenance career growth is welcome, but not required
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
  • Flexibility to assist across departments as needed

What OBE Offers You
  • Benefits that benefit you - industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee
  • Work-life balance - PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose
  • Compensation that rewards your hard work - A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses
  • Training - We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed
