Position:  Industrial Maintenance Helper 
ABOUT US
Packaging Services Industries, Inc., began production in 1976 and represents a family of privately owned businesses located in Maryland (MD) and Pennsylvania (PA). Since our inception, PSI has expanded to three plants, located in the Mid-Atlantic region and is staffed by over 300 employees. POSITION SUMMARY
The PSI Group, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Helper to join our Maintenance team at our Williamsport, MD location. Our Industrial Maintenance Helpers are responsible assisting our Maintenance Technicians with installing, maintaining and repairing production machines and equipment in our manufacturing facility. This position provides an opportunity for internal advancement to the position of Industrial Maintenance Technician. Good attendance is a must!
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • High school diploma or GED. Ideal candidate will possess certification from related trade school or experience working in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Safety First Mentality.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Prior experience working with electrical, mechanical hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems in an industrial setting is a plus.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools. 
  • Reading technical documents and diagrams is a must.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long durations.
  • Ability to operate as part of a team and adhere to supervisory directions
  • Dexterity and physical endurance are important qualities to have.
  • Ability to work the following core schedules and overtime as necessary:
    • 1st shift is Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 2:30pm (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch) and Friday 5:00am to 9:00am. 
    • 2nd shift - 3:30 pm-1:30 am Monday through Thursday 
    • Requires that ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work successfully in a fast paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
