Job description


Scope:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to uphold the hotel’s quality standards, ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests, and support overall operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl surfaces.

  • Inspect and perform minor repairs on electrical systems including air conditioning controls, televisions, and lighting fixtures.

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing basic plumbing issues such as leaks, clogged drains, and maintenance of sinks, toilets, kitchen, and laundry equipment.

  • Refurbish and maintain furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, and windows. Perform painting and finishing work as needed.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and follow up to ensure resolution and satisfaction.

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance in compliance with hotel grooming standards.

  • Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
