Director of Maintenance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee facility operations, building systems, and life safety requirements. This role provides leadership to the maintenance team, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory standards, including OSHA, EPA, CMS, NFPA, and fire safety requirements

  • Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and maintenance activities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost‑effective maintenance solutions

  • Manage departmental budgets, capital projects, and inventory of supplies and equipment

  • Conduct routine inspections of life safety systems and coordinate necessary repairs

  • Oversee interior and exterior facility upkeep, including landscaping and waste management

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Plant Operations, or Maintenance within a healthcare setting

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required

  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and mechanical operations

  • Thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and CMS regulatory requirements

  • Ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and manage complex maintenance issues

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software

  • Commitment to regulatory compliance and maintaining a safe environment
