Description

Are you the person everyone calls when something needs fixing?

Do you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and tackling a variety of projects? If so, we'd like to meet you.

D&S Dental Laboratory is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined General Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities, equipment, and property operating safely and efficiently. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in finding practical solutions.

No two days are the same. One day you may be repairing a piece of equipment, replacing lighting, fixing a door, coordinating an HVAC repair, building shelving, or helping maintain our landscaping. If you like working with your hands and seeing the results of your work every day, this position offers a rewarding opportunity.

What You'll Do

As our General Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our business running by:

  • Performing general building repairs and preventative maintenance to support safe and efficient facility operations
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, and hand tools to ensure reliable performance
  • Completing basic repairs and upkeep across building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry needs
  • Inspecting and maintaining facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify and address safety concerns
  • Managing maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment inventory in an organized and efficient manner

  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance
  • Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
  • Landscaping or ground maintenance

You don't need to be an expert in everything. We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to tackle a wide variety of maintenance projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, equipment repair, mechanical      work, or a related trade
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely using ladders and hand/power tools
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10% a month) between our Wisconsin locations      during the workday

Preferred

  • Experience with commercial or industrial facilities
  • HVAC, welding, or electrical experience
  • OSHA or other safety training

  • You'll work in a clean, professional manufacturing environment where your skills      are appreciated.

If you're someone who enjoys fixing, building, improving, and taking pride in a job well done, we'd love to hear from you.
