Job Description

Our Maintenance Assistant helps our Maintenance Director by keeping our residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. Candidates should also be able to resolve resident complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detail-oriented and friendly.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances. 
  • Prepares resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance by either providing these activities or working as a team member to achieve  these results. 
  • Maintains the grounds by mowing, sweeping, and trimming trees and shrubs, or other activities, such that the outside grounds are always presentable. 
  • Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment. Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control, and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly. 

Qualifications

  • Requires one year of related maintenance experience in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning.  
  • Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs at assigned location, problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
