Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. The Maintenance Assistant will help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Position Details

Position: Maintenance Assistant
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Mission Valley Post Acute
Hourly Wage: $18.05-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

  • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.

  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.

  • Assist with maintaining resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor areas.

  • Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facility areas and report maintenance concerns promptly.

  • Help ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are safe and properly maintained.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and scheduled inspections.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.

  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.

  • Support compliance with facility safety, fire, and emergency preparedness requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Director and facility leadership.

  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.

  • Skilled nursing, healthcare, apartment, hotel, commercial, or building maintenance experience is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.
