Position Summary
The Engineering Manager leads a team of software professionals responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality technology solutions. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project execution, continuous improvement, and the development of a high-performing engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership
  • Define and maintain the technical strategy, development roadmap, and risk management approach for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Establish and improve engineering processes, standards, and best practices to promote quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Guide architectural decisions and oversee the implementation of software solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and methodologies that enhance development effectiveness and product quality.
  • Ensure engineering teams adhere to established software development and quality assurance practices.
Team Leadership
  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Provide regular coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support employee growth and career development.

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2+ years of technical leadership or people management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting complex software systems and applications.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar object-oriented technologies.
  • Familiarity with contemporary software engineering practices, including version control, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, monitoring, and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical and operational decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
