Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong DC2 functional knowledge and proven experience in the Retail domain. This role involves supporting, enhancing, and modernizing Mainframe-based logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain systems.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS).
โ€ข Work on DC2 / Warehousing / Distribution Center applications, including inbound/outbound processing, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control.
โ€ข Analyze complex business requirements related to retail distribution and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring SLAs and operational stability.
โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teamsโ€”product owners, QA, architects, and business SMEs across retail operations.
โ€ข Participate in system modernization and migration efforts (if applicable).
โ€ข Create technical documentation, conduct peer reviews, and support deployments.
โ€ข Optimize Mainframe jobs and improve application performance.
โ€ข Ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to best practices for retail supply chain systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 10+ Years of exp Overall, Mainframe, DC2
โ€ข 6+ Years of Exp in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2
โ€ข 5+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, TSO/ISPF
โ€ข Strong functional knowledge of DC2 / Distribution Center processes: ASN processing, pick/pack/ship workflows, warehouse inventory, replenishment
โ€ข Experience working in Retail domain applications
โ€ข Ability to analyze batch cycles, optimize JCL, and troubleshoot job failures
โ€ข Experience with integration between Mainframe systems and downstream applications (e.g., WMS, OMS, transportation)
โ€ข Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production and QA environments
โ€ข Excellent communication skills working with global teams
Preferred:
โ€ข Retail domain experience is a plus
