We are currently seeking a Mainframe System Automation Specialist to join our team in the United States (US).

JOB DESCRIPTION - This is a remote position, but you must have the required Mainframe experience to be considered.

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe System Automation Specialist to join our global team focused on the design and implementation of monitoring and automation solutions.

Our team is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for a number of critical products across the organization, ensuring their availability, recoverability and security. The team is using Broadcom OPS/MVS product. Broad experience on IBMz is essential for this role to effectively advice our users on best solutions. 

In this role, you will manage requests for creation or enhancement of monitoring and automation rules for Mainframe Automation, collaborating with IT teams globally, as well as providing support in response to identified incidents. The role will also involve project work, that requires expertise in Mainframe Automation and IBMz to design and deliver effective and appropriate automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support the Mainframe System Automation.
  • Deliver automation at the quality and pace warranted by the business.
  • Ensure delivery to the customer while adhering to established global standards and best practices.
  • Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis to drive automation solutions.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions as agreed.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of the Incident, Problem, Change Management processes.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with providing production support and troubleshooting for IBMz Mainframe systems, and working on incidents & issues to ensure completion within agreed deadlines.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mainframe systems, especially in System Automation area – working with any Mainframe automation product such as OPS/MVS or IBM SA/NetView. Work experience with OPS/MVS product is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience coding / scripting using REXX programming language.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of: Confluence, Jira, and/or GitHub

The starting pay range for this role is $95,918-$177,625. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position in the USA. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
