Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Mainframe Network Administrator to maintain and support their mainframe IMS administration. The role involves administering mainframe IMS database systems, implementing changes, and providing complex database support activities.
Responsibilities:
• Deep knowledge Maintain and Support the Mainframe IMS administration
• Administer mainframe IMS database systems and supporting products.
• Installing and configuration and fine-tuning Mainframe IMS Environments with debugging and problem analysis
• Experience working with the Network system side of Mainframe environments in a parallel sysplex environment
• Be able to use TSO/ISPF sufficiently
• Be knowledgeable in z/OS Communication Server SNA and TCP/IP -multiple LPAR environments
• Security knowledge -Policy Agent knowledge -Encryption knowledge" -VTAM
• Implement and regularly review Automation and Dependency of systems
• Provides complex database support activities
• Designs and completes Database Administration Maintenance tasks.
• Completes Complex database changes and application implementations.
• Understands and works within incident and change management principles and best practices
• Analyses, tests and implements changes and enhancements to database management software and databases.
• Mentor Database Administrator's Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify database relationships and functional requirements; analyses and resolves issues related to information flow and content.
• Performs Database performance and tuning activities
• Performs special projects as assigned or directed.
• Understands and able to communicate database management software Licensing knowledge.
• Provide off-shift support for database support/incidents.
