Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery is looking for a new Cage Cashier. We have over 800 hard-working and passionate employees throughout our many properties. Position Summary The Cage Cashier is responsible for communicating with all guests in a positive and friendly manner while providing accurate, efficient, and excellent guest service.

Cage Cashier services include cash exchange, chip cash outs, check cashing transactions, as well as other monetary transfer of funds. Qualifications Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements and obtain all work cards including Gaming Registration High school graduate or equivalent with computer experience necessary for data entry Must have knowledge of 10 key adding machines, PC computers, and photocopy machine technology Organizational abilities necessary for completion of daily tasks and duties Well-groomed appearance and positive attitude Must be flexible in regards to shifts, days off, holidays, weekends and special events Need to be adaptable to continuous changes Asset Protection Protects company assets Ensure Key Control procedures are adhered to always Responsible for coin/currency/chip inventories assigned Record and balance all currency transactions via computer Reconcile daily summaries of transactions and balance all currency transactions against cash on hand Must be able to stay informed of current policies and procedures and act in accordance with the established guidelines Cage Knowledge Count and balance each assigned bank at the start and end of every shift with little to no assistance from others Exchange cash for TITO (Ticket In Ticket Out) tickets and gaming chips Cash checks for guests (payroll, cash advances, travelers, etc.) in accordance with the company's check cashing policies and procedures Prepare and accurately complete all job-related paperwork; which includes, but is not limited to, count out sheets, payment vouchers, chip transfers, jackpots, etc. Issue markers and accept payment on markers in accordance with the company's marker policies and procedures Learn and work other banks such as the Main Bank, Chip Bank, Team member Window, as the need arises Critical Evaluation Must be able to work independently and unsupervised at times and make good decisions based on adherence to policies and procedures Must be able to pass yearly Title 31 certification and can effectively communicate with Compliance Department Able to remain open-minded to changes and new information daily Be knowledgeable about guest events, marketing promotions and services/amenities throughout the property Gaming Compliance Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Log and accurately record all Title 31 transactions, as well as, all Multiple Transaction Logs (MTL), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), and Monetary Instrument Log (MIL) Team and Guest Service Provide excellent guest service to all casino guests and ensure same of all team members Deal effectively with guest problems/complaints Maintain entire Cage to ensure it is kept neat and clean always Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary Provides excellent service to other team members and departments as needed Competencies EI/VP Core Values Asset Protection Gaming Compliance Cage Knowledge Critical Evaluation Team and Guest Relations Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time
