Mailing Sorters are workers responsible for organizing, sorting, and preparing mail and packages for delivery within postal facilities or distribution centers. They typically operate sorting machines or sort items by hand, ensuring that mail is organized accurately by destination or postal code. Their work is essential for maintaining efficient mail flow and timely deliveries, and they may also assist in verifying addresses or reporting damaged items. Mailing Sorters often work in shifts, especially during peak mailing seasons.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a mailing sorter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Mailing Sorter, you need attention to detail, basic literacy and numeracy, and the ability to follow sorting procedures, often requiring a high school diploma or equivalent.
