Job description

Hiring: Springfield, MO Site Manager with Class A CDL Starting Pay: $85,000 Annual Salary with free employee medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional monthly allowance of $500 for phone, vehicle and fuel*

*This allowance is subject to adjustment if a company-provided phone or vehicle is added or removed.

Mail Management Services is hiring a Full Time Site Manager with a Class A CDL to serve our mission of providing reliable service for customers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage all USPS contacted dispatches in compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations
  • Schedule drivers in accordance with DOT hours of service
  • Monitor all issues related to the safe & secure transport of US Mail
  • Logistics and Delivery
  • Maintaining all Equipment to DOT Operational Standards
  • Hiring and Training of all Terminal Staff
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance
Successful candidates will have:
  • 1 year mail and transportation experience
  • Ability and the requisite knowledge to enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations
  • Ability to communicate, manage, administer and lead the whole staff in pursuit of all company goals including an onsite repair facility
  • Ability to set and administer the training for all drivers
  • Ability to think clearly and react properly under pressure
  • Ability to track all transport-related maintenance requirements
  • Ability to manage all aspects of safety, meeting safety goals and insuring 100% compliance including accident investigation
  • Ability to use Microsoft and other software to prepare all daily, weekly, and monthly reports and track expenditures
  • Ability to develop a strong working relationship with all employees and customer base
  • Ability to be organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate in oral and written form
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills (motivate, coach, develop employees and self)
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends and in any weather condition, willing to work 55 hours/week on average
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to perform any other job or task assigned
Experience / Background:
  • At least 1 year of VERIFIABLE commercial driving experience in the last 5 years
  • At least 1 year experience in a management role
  • Possess valid CDL A
  • Ability to pass a federal background check
  • No DUIs/DWIs within the last five years
  • Must be able to perform frequent lifting and pushing/pulling wheeled carts up to 100lbs
  • Must pass a DOT Physical and Pre-employment drug test (company paid)
  • All drivers are required to pass company sponsored defensive driving training as well as pass monthly safety training
  • 11 paid federal holidays

Eligible the first of the month following 30 days of employment. The company provides paid single medical, dental, and vision insurance. Spouse and family coverage is available at the employee’s expense. Additional voluntary benefits available at the employee’s expense include life insurance, short-term disability, and supplemental hospital, critical illness, and accident coverage.
