HIRING IMMEDIATELY: MAIL HANDLER / SWEEPER IN ITASCA, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Mail Handler / Sweeper to join our team in Itasca, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for removing mail from automated sorting equipment, accurately sorting mail into designated trays, maintaining continuous machine flow, and supporting a clean, safe, and efficient mail processing operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the physical stamina to frequently lift and move trays throughout the shift. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $17/hour, paid weekly

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Remove mail from automated sorting machines and accurately place it into designated trays using numerical codes
  • Verify machine bin numbers match the corresponding tray locations
  • Ensure all mail is properly oriented with addresses facing the front of the tray
  • Monitor sorting equipment and clear mail jams when necessary
  • Remove mail from machine pockets as they become full
  • Lift and transport full mail trays weighing 20–40 lbs to conveyor systems
  • Transfer mail between trays as directed by machine operators
  • Replace full trays with empty trays and insert the appropriate identification tags
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, mail processing, or production experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and move trays weighing up to 40 lbs frequently throughout the shift
