GENERAL FUNCTION: Processing of Fifth Third Bancorp mailings on a daily basis.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating
concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.
Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
  • Proficiently operating any of the inserting, printing and metering machines, producing and balancing jobs on a daily basis:
  • Perform all functions within Print/Mail Operations; that includes Insert, Printing, Metering, and mailing.
  • Will work closely with management on day-to-day operations in specific assigned areas.
  • Maintains constant communication with team and management to ensure all items are printed, inserted, sorted, and/or metered and delivered in a timely manner. Will be a training resource for all equipment, software, maintenance, processes and procedures in the Print, Insert and Metering area.
  • May require occasional "off shift" work to accommodate work load and service level commitments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure training of all new employees as directed
  • Prioritize and assign work to specific equipment and work closely with management on assignment
  • Ensure that Service Levels are met for the print/mail area.
  • Maintain optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely completion of paperwork and reports.
  • Suggest new techniques to improve productivity to management team.
  • Communicate issues, as needed, to management.
  • Serve as departmental resource for ongoing questions and problem solving.
  • Perform quality checks of departmental work.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of work-related experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of printing, insertion and/or metering equipment desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Self motivation
  • Problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility/willingness to work overtime as needed; and to work off shifts upon occasion

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Normal production environment with exposure to dust, noise, temperature mechanical equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Will operate various types of machinery, and pallet jack.
