Job Description:

WilsonartinTemple, Texashas an opening for a Packer

Wilsonart, Temple, Texas Cut-To-Size department currently has an opening for a Packer. This person will assist with inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process. Under the direction of the Team Lead/Supervisor. Perform other tasks as required. This is for the night crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Flip laminate.
  • Load and unload saws
  • Band pallets
  • Operate lifts
  • Inspect laminate
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Set up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process
  • Move inspected material to staging area for MJ saw
  • Change saw blades when working on saws
  • Basic computer skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (to 16th).

Experience:

One year of work experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
