Job description

Brydon Stairs is seeking a Clerical Assistant. The Clerical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the office. This role is responsible for data entry, managing communications, and providing professional, welcoming customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.

The position offers flexible scheduling between 20 and 30 hours per week based on the successful candidate's availability and operational needs. Regular office hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m

to 2:30 p.m. The starting wage for this position is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Entry and Record Maintenance: Accurately enter data into computer systems

Maintain organized and up-to-date records and files. Communication Management: Answer and direct phone calls. Respond to emails.

Manage incoming and outgoing communications. Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling appointments/meetings. Document Preparation: Prepare, proofread, and edit documents, reports, and correspondence as needed.

This includes: cut lists, sales orders, invoices. Office Supply Management: Monitor office supplies inventory. Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors.

Respond to inquiries, and provide information as required. Mail Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail and packages. Bookkeeping Support: Assist with processing invoices, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records.

Access Purchase Orders (P.O.) from customer trade portals/websites. General Support: Provide general clerical support to other office staff as needed, including making photocopies,scanning and uploading documents, looking up information, and other tasks as assigned by management PREFERRED/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualification as an administrative assistant or secretary will be a plus. Proven experience as a clerical assistant or in a similar role

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel,MS Word,MS Outlook). Excellent keyboarding skills - minimum 40 WPM. Knowledge of office equipment use (computer, printer, copier etc).

Ability to speak, read and write in English. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
