We are looking for a Chase Driver to join our team in Indianapolis. The Chase driver is required to have the ability to operate various types of trucks and be able to fill in for other drivers. Drivers will service many different routes in various areas and operate different trucks, so excellent driving/maneuvering skills are essential. This position may require driving in congested and/or confined areas. Drivers are exposed to extreme weather conditions. The hours and physical demand may vary by route or area. Due to the size of the truck driven, a Class A CDL is required.

Sign on bonus to paid out in two installments. First payment of $750.00 to be after 6 months of employment and second payment of $750.00 after 1 year of employment.

Schedule: 6 am start time Monday through Friday minimum one overnight a week. Some routes go to Nashville. Starting hourly rate: $29.50 - 31.50

What you'll do:

  • Follow daily route schedule.
  • Trained to cover multiple business needs including Chase, UCO, EGT, Bulk and other driving as needed.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Clean up waste spill and overflows.
  • Change out lids and wheels that are in need of replacement.
  • Swap out 55-gallon barrels and deliver/swap/remove tanks at customer sites.
  • Comply with all D.O.T. rules and regulations and communicate status to appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow a safety first mindset following all rules, procedures and trainings.
  • Pre and post trip inspections reporting in a timely manner any malfunctions and issues to supervisor.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record per company policy.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

What you need to drive:

  • Valid CDL "A" License with a Tanker Endorsement.
  • 3 years of CDL driving experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to at least 100 pounds.
  • Good driving record with safety risk rating within Mahoney Environmental acceptable standards

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Exposure to used cooking oil and grease trap odors.
  • Handling grease coated equipment.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
