The Buehler's Procurement Admin Team Leader is a vital position within our Procurement Department. The Procurement Department assists with...
A typical day for a Category Specialist may include:
  • Assists in weekly ad writing
  • Responsible for writing warehouse and store orders and PO's
  • Provides order communication to stores
  • Ensures the path of product delivery to store and warehouse
  • Processes product transfers out of the warehouse
  • Responsible for attending GM Shows and placing orders
  • Assists in determining product mix for specific categories and departments, Back to School, Christmas, etc.
  • Assists in seasonal and display planning for stores
  • Processes all Express notes and other communications to stores
  • Sets appointments and meets with vendors and wholesalers
  • Manages all credits or shipping errors
  • Manages inventory levels in warehouse and stores
  • Sorts product in the warehouse as needed for seasonal merchandise
  • Understands and works with the following systems - AS400, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Emery Jensen Ordering Site
  • Provides support to Packaged Goods Team at office and store level
  • Prepares all ad and promotional order spreadsheets for the stores
  • Communicates all promotional information to Marketing for ads and signage needs
  • Manages Office Supply orders and special requests

This role requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do basic to intermediate level math problems
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and projects will require the ability to lift, open file cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Possible lifting required when sorting product and processing transfer orders in the Warehouse.

Minimum position requirements:
Associates degree minimum: Bachelor's degree is preferred
Previous office administration experience
Proven mid-level to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Proven aptitude in proofreading: spelling, grammar and overall content clarity
Additional position details:
  • Non-exempt hourly position
  • Office hours typically are M-F 8am - 4pm
  • Expected to work 40 hours a week
  • May require some travel
  • Overtime may be required during Food Show periods
