We are Corporate Systems team within IS&T seeking a UI Engineer to build from the ground up, iOS/MacOS products that impacts thousands of our retail store and corporate users.
G&A Solutions Engineering (GSE) is IS&T's dedicated technology partner for Apple's general and administrative functions - including people, finance, facilities, legal, and security. The team builds and delivers integrated technology solutions that keep these functions running efficiently and securely at global scale. GSE also works closely with business teams to develop custom tools that improve productivity and bring greater automation and consistency to G&A operations across Apple.
Description
As a Swift Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical design, coding, and debugging of complex iOS and macOS applications.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years of software development experience building iOS and/or macOS applications in commercial or enterprise environments
6 years of work in Swift and SwiftUI, with experience writing unit tests (XCTest) and UI automation tests (XCUITest)
Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in profiling, memory management, layout rendering, and multi-threaded application design; proven track record diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks
Deep familiarity with app lifecycle concerns including offline resilience, background tasks, app extensions, and real-time client behaviors (push notifications, Server-Sent Events)
Demonstrated knowledge of secure coding practices, data protection, and platform security frameworks
Experience implementing accessible user experiences that meet WCAG standards including VoiceOver and Dynamic Type integration
