Facilities Certified Electrician
The Electrician is responsible for the maintenance andimprovement of electrical systems to prevent future issues. The individual installs, troubleshoots andrepairs electrical components in the process basement, mechanical plant,manufacturing areas, engineering labs and office areas. The Electrician is responsible for codecompliance and the safety of electrical installations in the facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Installing electrical wiring, including outlets, machine equipment and electrical components.
  • Manage electrical construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the implementation of facility expansion, layout of various electrical components and sub-systems and electrical controls.
  • Work with the facilities team on planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies and programs to assure business continuity i.e., predictive maintenance programs, preventative maintenance, and compliance services.
  • Support companies risk mitigation programs as outlined by the company's risk insurer.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, environmental and health and safety guidelines and commercial and industrial standards.
  • Assist in facilities management of cost-effective equipment and facility services contracts, pm agreements and recommended spare parts.

Qualifications:
  • This position requires a Journeyman License.
  • Electrical Associates or Certificate.
  • Capable of reading Blueprints
  • At least 5 years of experience as an electrician or in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience or equivalent in industrial/commercial maintenance.
  • Experience in trouble shooting facilities issues and problem solving.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and SAP.
  • Must be able to effectively approach and prioritize multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Previous experience with budgets and vendor negotiations.
  • Experience with Microsoft project or comparable project scheduling software.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be aUS Person.

The Hourly Range for this position is $28 - $46 perhour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors,including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience,education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
