Prime Machine Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is actively seeking detail-oriented Full-Time CNC Machinists to assist with our industrial manufacturing operations. As a CNC Machinist, you are essential to our manufacturing process. We specialize in custom and repair machining rather than mass production, so your skill, precision, and judgment matter on every part. This is not an operator position - we are looking for skilled machinists capable of setup, programming support, and precision machining.
In this role, you will read blueprints, assist with programming, select and change tooling, and machine complex parts with extreme accuracy. Our machinists take ownership of their work from setup and machining to deburring and inspection. Your attention to detail ensures every component meets strict quality and safety standards for industries such as aerospace, power generation, mining, and heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years CNC machining experience
  • 5-Axis machining experience (REQUIRED)
  • Experience operating or setting up Rafamet CNC machines
  • Experience operating or setting up Froriep machines
  • Experience with both manual and CNC machining
  • Mastercam programming experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of GD&T and precision inspection procedures
  • Ability to perform machine setups, select tooling, and troubleshoot machining processes
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements typical of this position

Work Schedule
This full-time position typically works four 10-hour shifts:
Day Shift: 5:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Swing Shift: 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.
Schedules run Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, allowing for longer weekends. Overtime is available weekly for those who want additional hours.
