Responsible for promoting and supporting the Company goals and vision by identifying and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient plant operations by enabling the workforce to meet all production and scheduling goals in a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of OEM machine controllers (list machines).
  • Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuild) on all machines.
  • Pull and replace machine linear guides and ball screws.
  • Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams, and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines.
  • Able to work with complex NC machine up to & including 5 Axis.
  • Perform machine leveling and alignment on all machines.
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
  • General facilities maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
  • Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions.
  • In conjunction with production team, will support continuous improvement of development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Implement and oversee a "Computerized Maintenance Managements System" that includes downtime tracking/reporting, work order generation and management, preventative maintenance, spare-parts tracking, and ordering creating a Total Productive Maintenance system.
  • Create a safe environment for all team members, ensuring all safety devices are in place and operating correctly, utilizing safety protocols during operations and repairs, i.e. Lockout - Tagout, protective gear, etc.
  • Analyze electrical, mechanical, and operational issues and take corrective measures to support maximum machine uptime and efficiency.
  • Review production schedules and perform changes or scheduled maintenance with minimal disruption to plant operations.
  • Work directly with contracted outside technical resources on scheduling activities and training of operators and maintenance technician.
  • Supervise maintenance resources to support operations creating maximum productivity and include technical skills to support current and future automation.
  • Active team member of the manufacturing operations team supports productivity improvement initiatives, participates in problem solving activities, supports capital projects and installations.
  • Troubleshooting machinery breakdowns or malfunctions, identifying the cause, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning components.
  • Installing new CNC machinery or computerized control systems as needed.
  • Maintaining equipment records, including work orders and repair logs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Reassemble machines and equipment after completing repairs and make sure they are operating correctly.
  • Install new machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment.
  • Train other workers in the use and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Keep records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure that it meets specifications and standards.
  • General facilities maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Other Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Additional specialized training/education relevant to the position
  • Must be organized and responsible to manage maintenance staff.
  • Must have proven maintenance/technical progressive experience in an industrial environment.
  • Five (5) or more years of managerial experience highly preferred.
  • General maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operating systems.
  • Understanding a variety of mechanical systems.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge/skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Safety Rules and OSHA guidelines.
