General Description:
Competency with operation and general maintenance for such machines as Amada, Salvagnini, Bridgeport CNC, and other automated technology as needed.
Flexible to work in the following work centers: manual machines, assembly line, subassembly work centers, and packaging.
Essential Functions:
- Select items via the Amada and Salvagnini system programs as appropriate.
- Working with Engineering or the OEM vendor(s), adjust programs appropriate.
- Prior to running the first part, verify that the program is up to the latest drawing revision and notify the lead or supervisor if any discrepancies are found.
- Load raw materials into the laser machine using a forklift.
- Ensure the integrity of the item by comparing it to a drawing(s).
- Notify immediate supervisor or quality control technician if product does not appear to meet specified standards.
- Unload processed parts and dispose of metal scrap as per company scrap guidelines.
- May be asked to work in various work centers as the need arises.
- Works from assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
- Utilizes a wide range of tools including but not limited to drills, wrenches, screw drivers, and rivet guns.
- Know how to read and follow assembly work instructions including drawings and schematics.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly factory.
- Other duties as required.
Education and General Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating Amada and Salvagnini machines.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with machines such as press breaks, shears, and punch press type machines.
- Assembly line experience
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent manual dexterity
- High School Diploma or GED required.
