Job description

Position Summary The Industrial Technology program at Allan Hancock College is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for in-person instructional vacancies. The assignment may include classes at the Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley Center, or other college sites, as needed. Assignments may be for spring, summer, or fall, and may be day or evening hours.

The courses most likely to be assigned to this position are Survey of Machining and Manufacturing; CNC G Code; CNC CAD/CAM; Print Reading and Interpretation; Lean Manufacturing; SolidWorks; Mastercam; Mastercam; Understanding and Measuring GD&T. Please note that this is not a remote position. Essential Functions and Qualifications Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines. Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics. Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.

Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member. Teach all scheduled classes. Maintain accurate records.

Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes. Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must meet one of the following criteria: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience Associates Degree AND six (6) years industry experience. Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.
