Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for a R&D Machinist in Reno, NV.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
  • Fabricates, modifies, or repairs mechanical instruments.
  • Provides feedback on best practices for manufacturability
  • Carry out maintenance on company owned machine shop
  • Provide mentoring to junior/less trained staff

Skills and Knowledge:

Required:

  • Knowledge of advanced machining practices and the ability to determine safest machining procedures.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and electronic equipment.
  • Be able to use various types of tools and equipment.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of machining standards and exotic materials.
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an automobile.
  • Ability to work beyond normal workday or workweek.
  • Able to travel.
