Job description

Position: Toolmaker for Grind Department

Requirements:

- First shift position.

- Person must be able to grind high-quality parts and achieve quoted grind times in job shop environment (typical volume of 1 or 2 pieces).

- Pre-employment physical

- No smoking policy during working hours

- NOTE: Flexible start date for this open position.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Attention to detail.

2. Ability to set-up and operate hydraulic surface grinders, while holding a tolerance of +/-.0002''.

3. Ability to interpret complex detail drawings.

4. Four (4) years minimum experience.

5. Ability to work overtime when required.

6. Ability to meet quoted times on jobs on a regular basis.

7. Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience building gage components, precision details, and doing custom machining.

2. Ability to set-up and operate an OD/ID cylindrical grinder.

3. Ability to set-up and operate a Moore jig grinder.

4. Ability to set-up and operate Tool Room equipment such as a mill or engine lathe.

5. Journeyman’s card in Tool & Die or Toolmaking.
