Job description

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven CNC Machining Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate our machining departments. In this role, you will ensure the smooth flow of machined parts through production while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
You will play a critical role in evaluating team performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting a growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with CNC machining expertise and a passion for operational excellence.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30PM-12:00AM
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise hourly staff and 2-4 Team Leads
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee relations
  • Foster a culture aligned with company core values and continuous improvement
  • Lead daily, weekly, and shift meetings to drive communication and engagement
  • Approve timecards and manage scheduling and time-off requests

Operations & Production Management
  • Coordinate and prioritize production schedules and work orders
  • Ensure efficient labor planning and resource allocation
  • Maintain workflow to support assembly operations and delivery timelines
  • Oversee inventory management for parts, tools, and supplies
  • Lead MRB processes and morning production reviews
  • Resolve downtime issues by leveraging technical resources
  • Monitor department KPIs and implement corrective actions

Continuous Improvement & Quality
  • Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, FDA, and quality system requirements
  • Develop and maintain standard work procedures
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles across the department
  • Maintain training documentation and employee compliance records
  • Prevent non-conforming product from reaching customers

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulations
  • Enforce proper PPE usage and safe lifting practices
  • Identify, report, and resolve safety hazards
  • Maintain awareness of environmental policies and ISO 14001 standards

Cost & Efficiency
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Improve production efficiency, yield, and labor utilization
  • Support department growth planning, including equipment and staffing

What You Bring
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a machining environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC screw machines
  • Experience with CNC setup, offsets, and program editing

  • Strong leadership and employee relations experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple production demands
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
