Job description

Position Overview
Stitcher I is responsible for the finishing to printed fabric and vinyl substrates including seaming, sewing, hemming, cutting, grommets, edging and attachment of gaskets to all fabric and vinyl banners. Ensuring quality to final assembly and fit. Reports to Manager, Graphic Production.
Key Job Responsibilities
Graphic Production
• Operate industrial sewing machine.
• Attach silicone gaskets to dye sub fabrics.
• Seam, hem, and pocket vinyl banners using fabric welder machinery.
• Operate digital cutting machine.
• Test fit and ensure quality finish on SEG banners.
• Wrap banners or other fabrics to aluminum frames or theatrical flats as needed.
• Package and prepare completed graphics to be sent to show site.
• Perform basic daily maintenance on all equipment.
• Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
Safety
• Follow all applicable OSHA and corporate safety protocols and regulations.
• Maintain a safe working environment by maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
Job Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with producing banners or signage preferred
• Experience with commercial sewing machines beneficial
• Communicate clearly both verbally and through computers, apps, and relevant software.
• Experience at working in a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment.
Warehouse/Shop
Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Hargrove based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
