Part-time roles can include positions like machinist assistant, CNC operator, or general shop helper. These jobs typically require basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. Part-time positions are ideal for students, those seeking supplemental income, or individuals gaining experience in manufacturing. Hours are usually flexible, and training is often provided on the job.

Machine Shop Part Time roles typically involve fewer hours with similar responsibilities and credentials as full-time positions. They are ideal for those seeking flexible schedules or supplementary income, while full-time roles offer more stability and responsibilities within the same work environment.

What are some common responsibilities for a part-time role in a machine shop?

In a part-time machine shop position, you can expect to assist with operating and maintaining equipment such as lathes, mills, or grinders under supervision. Typical duties include measuring and inspecting parts for quality, preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting machinists with setup or tool changes. You’ll often collaborate with other team members to ensure workflow efficiency and may also help track inventory or handle minor repairs. Flexibility and attention to detail are important, as tasks can vary depending on daily shop needs.

What jobs pay $2000 a day?

Jobs that can pay $2000 a day typically include specialized roles such as high-level consultants, certain executive positions, or skilled trades like advanced machining or engineering projects. These roles often require extensive experience, certifications, or working in high-demand industries with project-based or contract work. Such high daily rates are uncommon for part-time or entry-level positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Machine Shop Part Time worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Machine Shop Part Time worker, you generally need basic mechanical aptitude, familiarity with shop safety protocols, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with tools such as lathes, milling machines, calipers, and possibly knowledge of CNC equipment are commonly required, along with OSHA safety certification. Attention to detail, reliability, and effective teamwork are crucial soft skills that set candidates apart. These skills and qualifications ensure safe, efficient operations and contribute to the overall productivity and safety of the machine shop environment.

What jobs make $1000 per hour?

Jobs that can pay $1000 per hour are typically highly specialized roles such as top-tier surgeons, experienced corporate lawyers, or successful entrepreneurs. These positions often require advanced skills, extensive experience, and sometimes significant certifications or reputation in their fields.

What is the highest paying part-time job?

For part-time roles related to machine shop work, specialized positions such as CNC machinist or precision grinder tend to offer higher pay, often exceeding standard part-time wages. These jobs typically require technical skills, certifications, and experience with machining tools and CAD software. Compensation varies by industry and location but can reach higher hourly rates compared to general part-time positions.

How much can you make at a machine shop?

In a machine shop, part-time workers typically earn between $12 and $20 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and location. Entry-level positions may pay closer to minimum wage, while experienced machinists or those with certifications can earn higher wages. Pay rates can also vary based on the complexity of tasks and the shop's size.
