Job description

Operations / Machining Manager

This position is located in Killdeer, ND. Candidates must be willing to relocate or commute to this location daily.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Machinist with strong leadership skills to join our team. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with operational oversight, process improvement, and team development in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily shop operations and drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and meet quality expectations.
  • Approve billing, machine documentation, prints, setups, and programs.
  • Lead machinist training, to include quality expectations, and ensure clear internal communication.
  • Manage customer relationships — proactively pursue new business opportunities, maintain strong partnerships with existing customers, ensure their needs are met, and gather feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Work on facility and workplace improvements by collaborating with the team to create a safer, more organized, and more efficient environment.
  • Provide leadership and support team development, mentoring, and performance growth.
