$20 an hour / Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30pm / Friday 7am-11am

The Machine Shop Worker is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through machine operation, tooling fabrication and repair, preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and quality verification activities. This position works closely with Production, Quality, and Plant Management to ensure equipment, tooling, and manufactured components meet production requirements, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety & Quality
  • Follow IATF 16949 standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards within the machine shop and surrounding work areas.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify, communicate, and correct unsafe conditions whenever possible.
Machine Shop Operations
  • Operate assigned machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machining equipment.
  • Properly set up equipment according to production requirements and work instructions.
  • Produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Verify dimensions and inspect finished products using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensure proper movement and storage of completed parts throughout the production process.
Tooling & Production Support
  • Manufacture, repair, and modify tooling used in production operations.
  • Assist with tooling development for new production runs.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies found on production prints.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production and tooling issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Monitor machine performance and overall equipment condition.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete preventative maintenance reports and required documentation.
  • Maintain inventory levels of machine shop tooling and spare parts.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Complete all required production and maintenance documentation.
  • Communicate machine, tooling, or quality concerns to the Plant Manager.
Maintain organized records associated with machine shop operations.
