Job Title: Machine Shop Supervsior

Job Description

The Supervisor is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts. This role focuses on hands-on machining, maintaining tight tolerances, and supporting production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and program CNC lathes for production runs
  • Operate CNC machines and support operators as needed
  • Set up and run manual lathes and mills when required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Select and set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime and scrap
  • Work with engineering to improve machining processes and tooling
  • Optimize toolpaths and machining performance to increase efficiency
  • Coordinate with suppliers to identify and obtain proper tooling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Essential Skills:

  • Experience as a CNC machinist with programming and setup experience
  • Ability to operate both CNC and manual lathes and mills
  • Strong understanding of tooling, setup, and machining processes
