  • Learn and advance through machinist to toolmaker

Responsibilities:
  • This position is responsible for performing a full range of machine shop work at the level of machinist S1.
  • Typically the incumbent makes new or replacement tooling and or machine parts.
  • Operates most common machine tools such as vertical millers, CNC lathes, and manual lathes.4The incumbent understands the properties of common metals, plastics and cutting tools.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years in the machine shop or trade school in the machining field
