Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector in La Verne, CA.
As a Quality Inspector you will:
  • Perform inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications
  • Processes associated documentation, including process tags, rework and non-conforming documents
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure efficient and comply with safety standards
  • Going on the to the shop floor to work closely with the machine and machinist to ensure parts are being made accurate and procedures are being followed

This a full-time opportunity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills and Qualification
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Read blueprints for precision machined parts - Understand specs and symbols
  • A trained eye for detail and problem-solving skills
  • A high degree of organization, reporting capabilities, effective communication and capable of interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role in machine shop manufacturer. Experience working on a manufacturing team with machinists and engineers is a plus
  • Familiar with the use of all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to; micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, vernier calipers, height gauges, internal and external thread gauges, ID/OD mics, bore gauges, and etc.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to learn company software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office & excel 8. Understanding office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Ability to work alone, with a partner or team
  • Familiar with current ISO & AS specs & standards

Pay Rate: $28-$33 per hour DOE
