Job description

Deer Creek Flange & Pipe is seeking a Spool Shop Associate. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 7:00a.m. - 3:30 p.m. This role is eligible for benefits including medical insurance (cost of premiums covered 100% by the company), dental insurance, vision insurance, 401 (k), and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate saws and cutting equipment safely and accurately to meet project specifications.
  • Assist with prepping, cleaning, and organizing materials for fabrication and finishing.
  • Support other shop tasks as needed, including basic assembly, sanding, or surface prep.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Learn and develop skills in fabrication and spool shop operations for potential career advancement.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to safely operate basic machinery and hand tools; experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fabrication environment.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner with responsibility, integrity, accountability and excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative; always finds a way to be productive, takes pride in their work
  • Works well as a team member; places the success of the team above self interest

Working Conditions
  • Shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
  • Standing, walking, and manual lifting required throughout the shift.
