Position Summary

As our Operations Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operation running smoothly. This is a hands-on position with responsibilities that extend well beyond traditional shipping and receiving.

You'll ensure finished customer orders are accurately packaged and delivered on time while supporting production through job staging, laser engraving, light assembly, local deliveries, and other operational tasks. Primary Responsibilities

  • Package precision machined products for shipment.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
  • Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Receive and verify incoming customer product, outside processing returns, and production-related deliveries.
  • Maintain Inventory
  • Deliver and pick up customer product and vendor orders using a company vehicle.
  • Coordinate outside processing deliveries and pickups.
  • Stage jobs for production and prepare work for the manufacturing floor.
  • Perform laser engraving of finished parts and products.
  • Perform light mechanical assembly.
  • Maintain organized shipping, staging, and work areas.
  • Maintain shipping supplies and inventory.
  • Enter shipping and inventory transactions into our ERP system.
  • Work closely with production and management to ensure customer orders are completed and delivered on time.
  • Assist with additional operational tasks as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar shipping software preferred.
  • Comfortable using computers and ERP software (JobBOSS2 experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform light assembly.
  • Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
