Job description

Machine Builder (Automation) | Build High-Speed Equipment | Growth OpportunityWork on Cutting-Edge Automation Equipment

We’re hiring a Machine Builder to build, troubleshoot, and refine high-speed automated assembly machines. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with engineering to bring complex automation systems to life—from initial build to final debug and startup.

If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges, working with precision equipment, and seeing machines you built run in production, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Build automated assembly machines and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings
  • Assemble and debug systems including:
    • Pneumatics, indexers, pick-and-place units
    • Tooling, punches, dies, and forming components
    • Troubleshoot and debug new machines and processes
    • Perform machine alignment, setup, and final adjustments
    • Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist with troubleshooting
    • Use manual mills and shop tools to modify and refine components
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to solve build and performance issues
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    What We’re Looking For

    Hands-on mechanical builders (entry to mid-level welcome)

    • 3+ years building, assembling, or troubleshooting equipment OR
    • Experience in machine building, maintenance, tool & die, or similar fields

    Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

    Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

    Comfortable working with precision assemblies and tight tolerances

    Preferred (Not Required)
    • Experience with automated assembly equipment
    • Exposure to PLC systems or controls troubleshooting
    • Experience with pneumatics and motion systems
    • Experience with machine shop tools (manual mill, fabrication, etc.)
    • Trade school, associate’s degree, or technical training
