Job Description:

The Assembly Team Leader (2nd Shift) is responsible for leading a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly professionals to build high-quality machinery. This role focuses on driving efficiency, ensuring safety, and promoting continuous improvement in all assembly processes.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and develop assembly team members to maximize efficiency, equipment value, cross-training, and employee growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging available tools and resources to reduce machine downtime and improve processes.
  • Oversee adherence to standard work processes and identify ongoing training needs.
  • Support planning and evaluation of future assembly equipment investments.
  • Partner with the Quality team to address non-conformances, ensuring effective containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure readiness for rapid response to meet customer needs and production demands.
  • Proactively identify equipment issues and collaborate with Maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
  • Promote and sustain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments; promptly address and correct unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Monitor and forecast monthly business and financial commitments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical expertise in machining, painting, fabrication, materials, blueprint reading, NC programs, routings, tooling, and fixturing.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, planning, and scheduling capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, including increasing throughput, reducing cycle time, and improving inventory turns.

Compensation

The approximate pay range for this position is$85,000-$105,000 annually. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
