Job description

Machine Operator

Position
Brush Division Machine Operators are responsible for building surface maintenance equipment according to blueprints and written specifications.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines such as press, stamping, spot welding, cutting and trimming
  • Assemble component parts using designated machinery and processes for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality.
  • Fit, trim, align, and adjust parts and components, along with attaching hardware and sealing assembly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Test completed parts per quality standards.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift.

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process sheets
  • Ability to work from established work instructions and follow sequence of operations.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools along with inspection equipment, and crate, pack, and move finished goods.
  • Disassemble, replace parts, and assist in staging parts for painting as required.
  • Able to enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
  • Can verify conformance of work piece to specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
